5 Reasons to Sauna Before Your Wedding
One groom shares the unexpected highlight of his wedding weekend
The night before your wedding is often a strange mix of excitement, nerves, and last-minute logistics. For many, it’s anything but relaxing.
But for one groom, the evening before his big day looked —one that ended up becoming a highlight of the entire wedding.
Instead of the usual pre-wedding chaos, he chose to spend it in a sauna with close friends and family.
And according to him?
“It was the best decision I made all wedding.”
Here are 5 reasons you should book a sauna the night before your wedding.

A Sauna Calms Your Nerves
Wedding’s can be stressful and
“I nearly didn’t come up because of stress… but within ten minutes all of my worries were gone and I was able to see we actually had everything under control.”
That shift—from overwhelmed to calm—is exactly what makes a sauna session so powerful before the big day.
And boy was it the best decision I made all wedding haha. I nearly didn’t come up because of stress, but when our first group of pals headed up the hill I was like nope I gotta do this. And within ten minutes all of my worries were gone and I was able to see we actually had everything under control. The sauna itself is gorgeous, but the setting even more so, to get to spend quality time with close pals that way was so special, looking out over the pond, running out and into the cold water and then back in. Genuinely it’s one of my favourite memories from the wedding itself.
What did your wedding guests think of Nowhere Sauna?
They flipping loved it, everyone who came up talked about how nice it was just to have some down time and it was really special seeing pals who hadn’t properly met yet getting to know each other.
Adding steam in the sauna… “Too much heat!” or “Oooooh sooo goooood”?
Both, we struck the balance just right mostly, but once did put too much steam on and had to endure a very tough thirty seconds, as soon as it passed though we couldn’t help but laugh about it and there were no regrets.
Any sauna tips to your fellow newlyweds?
Make sure you do it, it’s one of the most special things Comrie Croft has to offer (and it offers a lot of special things), I am so so glad we booked it and you should too. Also be brave, you are in theory taking the plunge metaphorically, so why not literally do it with some cold water.
And finally, how’s married life treating you?
So far so wonderful, busy, busy for both of us, but our wedding day is still something we jabber on about constantly to anyone who will indulge us and listen. We can’t wait to come back to Comrie Croft actually and will 100% visit the sauna again. It’s also still very surreal to be married, like it feels very grown up and we are only children at 30 and 28. Though I know we would do it all over again in a heart beat if we could. Maybe an extra big anniversary will provide an excuse one day…
